Tosin is a Brit School, NFTS Craft Skills and BFI Film Academy alumna, a Screenskills ‘Make a Move’ scheme alumna, a previous BAFTA mentee and a graduate of Raindance Film School. Having produced 6 short films to date, her work as a short film producer has been screened at a variety of film festivals. 'Dolly' short film, her directorial debut, has been screened at Oscar and BAFTA qualifying film festivals internationally. Most recently, she produced a FLAMIN Film London funded short film called ‘A Radical Duet’, which had its world premiere at the 2023 BFI London Film Festival.
Tosin has worked with award-winning production companies such as VCCP, Brook Lapping, Sweetshop, Pretty Bird, and Love Productions, to name a few. She has also done work in association with Comic Relief and BBC.
Due to her participation in the BFI Film Academy programme, Tosin was selected by her training organisation to receive mentoring from BAFTA member and Producer - Laura Hastings Smith. Tosin has been mentored by a range of industry professionals. Some of these include; Screenwriter - Brian Ward, Love Productions Director and Producer - Claire McFall and Producer - Sophia Ramcharan. Most notably, for 2 years, she was mentored by Ged Doherty, co-founder of Raindog Films and former Chairman of the British Phonographic Industry and BRIT Awards Limited.
In 2021, Tosin worked on season 1 of Apple TV/AMC’s new sci-fi Drama ‘Silo’, with Graham Yost at the helm of it all. The experience reignited her passion for producing, writing and directing, and made her aspirations more conceivable whilst I was under the guidance and mentorship of writer, director and producer, Aric Avelino, whom she met whilst working on the show.
Presently, she is developing her own film projects and looking for the next opportunity to produce and tell compelling stories.
Tosin has a range of experience working on the production of shorts, commercials, music videos, TV & film. She currently works in advertising as a Producer/Production Manager at Girl & Bear (VCCP).
