After years of working in music videos, commercials and factual TV, during the 2020 pandemic, Tosin had the opportunity to branch into the feature documentary filmmaking sector and be part of the Production team on Squaring the Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis). There, she worked directly in tandem with her mentor at the time, Ged Doherty - Producer & CEO of Raindog Films (along with Colin Firth), formerly the chairman of the BPI and BRIT Awards Ltd and the previous chairman and CEO of Sony Music UK.
In 2021, Tosin worked on season 1 of Apple TV/AMC’s new sci-fi Drama ‘Silo’, with Graham Yost at the helm of it all. The experience reignited her passion for producing, writing and directing, and made her aspirations more conceivable whilst I was under the guidance and mentorship of writer, director and producer, Aric Avelino, whom she met whilst working on the show.
African spiritual superstitions, cults, dramas exploring immigration and family, untangling the lives of the world's most notorious scammers, dark comedies and many more, are just some of the stories that Tosin want to tell in her own filmmaking!
